“Hi, how are you ?”
“Hi, everything’s is as alright as it can be at the moment. How about you?”
This is a standard dialogue between Ukrainians, which has taken on a completely different meaning. After a year of war more specialists have placed a greater emphasis on psychologically supporting those affected by the conflict . Due to the ongoing war many people have suffered from trauma and great stress due to constant relocation, changes in lifestyle and the regular shelling of Ukrainian cities.
In this difficult time, it is important to create pleasant moments and try our best to surround ourselves with beauty. We are extremely grateful to the Dutch benefactors that aided our need for beauty at this time. The farmers donated 100,000 Dutch Tulip bulbs to the Smart Medical Aid charity fund. This generous donation has allowed for beauty and serenity in a time of war. This donation is a small act of kindness with a huge positive impact helping those who are psychologically struggling in this challenging time for Ukraine.
Thanks to the Dutch farmers, tulips have bloomed in many corners of our country, from East to West. These flowers bloom near children’s hospitals in Kharkiv, Dnipro, Kyiv and Lviv where psychological rehabilitation plays very crucial role in helping those undergoing various treatments.
We could not miss one the largest parks in Lviv wherein people of various ages, regions and backgrounds come to enjoy nature, be alone or spend time with friends. Thousands of refugees that had to flee from the East due to the conflict also find psychological sanctuary, created through the beautiful flower beds. These are the people who have truly benefitted as a result of the generous donation.
Here a beautiful variety of flowers beds can be found in all corners of the park, making it the perfect place for a change in scenery and a moments of peace during this mentally exhausting time.
Let’s help one another through small acts of kindness or even a simple smile.
