Stronger than they thought
Nine-year-old Sofiyka and her mother came under fire in Mykolaiv. The russian military used banned cluster bombs. Despite the fact that the mother covered the girl with herself, the child received a serious injury. The fragment hit her head and got stuck in the brain at a depth of 11 centimeters. Sofiyka managed to be saved. After an extremely complicated operation, the girl needs a long rehabilitation. Our partners at the Revalidatiecentrum Roessingh clinic in the Netherlands have accepted her for treatment. We hope for Sofiia's speedy recovery.
